We've had this little guy growing in a 7" square pot for a few years...beautiful burgundy color.
Can anyone help identify this Brom?
Hi TW, your plant doesn't ring any bells for me, but the easiest way to ID it is by the flower. If you could put on some more pics of it, I'm sure someone could ID it easily. I was thinking Billbergia (by the flower) but the foliage doesn't fit the image I have in my head.
Good luck, I'll check back and see how you go.

It looks like xCryptbergia 'Red Burst' but I could be worng.
turtle, you could be right. I'd say definitely a Crytabergia, (didn't know they existed) and C. 'Red Burst' looks the closest in the foliage. TW, I think the flower needs to open a little more?
MAke sure you capture it for us hey?
Sue
Great pics TW. http://www.bromeliad.org.au/pictures/Cryptbergia/RedBurst.htm
I'm pretty sure Turtlewalker (also TW!) was right with Cryptbergia 'Red Burst' check out the link

That is correct ID I have grown this for about 15 years
Does anyone have tillandseas for trade or sale?
Not me Missdaisys. I'm still building my collection, and quarantine rules prevent me sending any plant material internationally anyway. I hope someone out there can help you!
