I had to go to work the next morning... I couldn't stand to leave her.. I was afraid something would happen.. the neighbors three orange cats had a habit of hopping the fence and hiding out to watch the bird feeders.. and my dog liked to hop the border fence to chase them, or it could get attacked by a bird after a bug on it or/ well u know how u worry.. so now she has had one bloom, and there is somehow a pod hanging from her.. I am waiting for the flush to come .. she only gave me one big beautiful flower that first part of July... but she is not finished, I can tell, her little Y branches are forming little okras now..
MMMMM Lovely Monster and a great time tour.. I've a thought the tagged Donna.. is likely Donna B down of the MS coast... they were right on the coast before the big storm and they moved to a compound inland some.. I believe she's got the monster white.. and I think I picked one up on a tour through there..
Yes it does grow remarkably well..
{ to say ] they do make the best boar wrapped grilled shrimpas well as having a great grove of Brugs

Here we are into another year of Back Yard adventures in Kansas, with the beautiful brugmasias. Last year a few I had bloomed, I wintered them inside in September when the temps outside were the same inside, aand then more bloomed for me down in the Basement Garden. Hard to believe it is my third year for growing brugmansia. My most difficult one was snow banks, I gave up and gave him all away. I hav no patience for such a slow but beautiful grower.
My other big challenge is Maya. She is loved by these little green worms. Everynight after work, I pick them off of her as I pet and croon to her. I got another varigated brug from JT, a Peaches and Cream. It too is loved by those worms.
I have bumped this thread up for help from experienced growers to get me thru these next few months.
Follow me to watch me learn and watch these beautiful girls grow..
