Need fertile eggs for a sitting hen. Anyone here ship?

Buffalo, WV(Zone 7a)

I have a hen sitting but don't have a rooster so need to find some fertile eggs for her. Haven't decided what type I want, usually have heavy breed egg layers but thought maybe some cute ones might be nice, Polish crested or something really colorful. What kind do y'all have and can you ship fertile eggs to me in WV 25033? I'll pay of course.

Thanks,
Lana

Hi Lana: So much of the country is experiencing heat waves, so for the most part it's way to hot to ship eggs. They would just die on the trip. I also have fertile eggs comming but had to cancel until Sept due to unusual heat. It's been near tripple digits here, very unusual, and other places it is even worse. I'm sure some would respond if it wasn't for the heat. Haystack

That is unusual for WA. Has been in the eighties here which is a bit cooler than the norm. Not that I'm complaining ;)

i guess that would depend alot on how they were shipped too, some of us ship with ice packs in the warmer mths but alot of people do not do that. the hotest it has been this summer for us is about 90. today it was pouring so bad i didn't even go outside, lol. i have silkies, showgirls and polish laying in different colors if u r interested just d-mail me for more info.

Normal temps this time of year here is 72-75, Yesterday it was 103 and my poor girl's are panting more like dog's do. I tried a mister, but they hate water except to drink.

You know more, much more about shipping than I do Silkie, I just know the gal from arkansas that has my fertile marans eggs won't even shipp with ice packs. Ninety sounds cool right now though. Haystack

If I knew the eggs would go from Ky to WV I'd ship no problem...it's cool enough. But if they get sent by way of Albuquerque like Bugs Bunny...No telling what route they'd take to get there. I've got Barred Rock and Black Sex-link Crosses...

LOL, grownut! Yep, they'd probably come by way of Albuquerque!!!
