We have all witnessed them and occasionally we actually carry the torch.
But being a hack gardener for the last 40 years and a girl that loves Roses, this won was just plain stupid!!!!!
The scene:
Parking lot downtown Fort Worth Texas, temp around 90 and rising.
Having just finished a lovely Sunday brunch, the husband and I are leaving the restaurant winding our way through the maize of cars when something in a car catches my eye. Abruptly gabbing my husbands arm and stopping him dead in our tracks. There they were, a full dozen yes dozen beautiful long stem roses locked in a car on a blazing black top without so much as a window cracked....
I would drop dead if the husband sent me flowers much less long stemmed roses.
Ohhhhh they were so pretty, yellow with red fringes around the tips.
Would love to hear your stupid human moments....
Remarkably Stupid Moments
Well, at least it wasn't a dog - which you'll see locked in a hot car all too frequently around our area.
Okay, propagating and planting small plants this year wasn't the brightest thing I've every done! I should have known better. I'm losing plants and since I haven't been feeling that well lately, it's been especially difficult to keep plants alive. The sun is the enemy, the heat is the enemy, the drought is the enemy. I'm thankful for what is still doing well.
