Just starting to bloom

My curcumas have gotten huge and just starting to bloom-emperor on left. The one on the right is about 5+ feet tall.

Hey Ms Barbara,

Do you grow your Curcuma in the ground year round. Reason I ask is my mother likes them but doesn't have a place to put them in the winter. She lives in Wiggins.

Dee, yes they grow in ground. On the newer hybrids, I don't know yet. When unsure, one is always put in greenhouse. Just make sure mulch good and planted where dry/drains well in winter or could get rot.
