Mini Name????

Fort Worth, TX(Zone 8a)

This is my 1st attempt at adding a picture so I hope this works. Does anyone know the name of this mini Hib? Got it at Lowe's for $1.50 recently & it is small but a great bloomer. Judy

Hi

The hibiscus that you are asking about is El Capitolio Sport, the link to the plant files is below. Add as many hibiscus pictures you like, everyone on this forum loves to see hib photo's.

You were so right, Wilfred. This little jewel blooms a lot. Always 3-5 blooms on this small plant.

Hi Judy,

If you like this one I am sure your would like the red and yellow variety.

I have this too. It is my best bloomer and also tends to grow the tallest of all my hibiscus before the winter knocks them back to the ground. It is also very easy to grow from cuttings.

You're right, Patrick, I do like the red & yellow. And, the very 1st one pictured on y'all's links looked more pink than peach & I loved that one. Do you have them? How many do you Hibs do you have?

I have a peachy colored one and I just bought one that looks the same but its red.

I don't have the red, Darla. Yet!!!! Have a larger double flower red that is called Cecelia but I want the other El Cap. Sport ones because of their blooming capacity. One looks almost pink & I would LOVE that one too. Slowly but surely. How is your DH doing?

As he says jokingly His hair is good! I was getting tired of listening to all the complaints of all the parts that hurt! Some men just don't handle pain well. But he's seeing a foot Dr that is trying to help the ankles and feet. He's sprained the ankles so many times there is nothing left to stabilize the ankle. He was in the military for 25 years and he figured he knew more than the Drs and continued doing everything he wasn't supposed to be doing! Go figure now everything hurts. He's also looking at fusion in his neck. That one is from getting hit on his bike in Japan. Lower back isn't much better. AND he's younger than I am and falling apart much faster than I am!

Hey Patrick & Donna, those are so pretty. Gotta have the red & the yellow. What is attractive on each is the different colors under the "poodle looking tail" that sticks out on top. Thank you both for sharing your lovely blooms. Want list just keeps growing, growing & growing, etc.

they are beautiful & kinda curious looking to me, I'm guessing they've been around a while? I just seem to see them on most of the vendors web sites, that's all. I like!
