Hi Ed, are they all self seeded? It will look a treat when you have them flowering

Yes Sue, except for the ones that fall out of the tree, that I tuck back in somewhere, they must blow in from the woods of Cape Canaveral wildlife refuge, just south of me, that surrounds the space center, Ed

I don't s'pose you're allowed to go in and have a look? You might be able to find flowering specimens!

Oak Hill, FL(Zone 9b)

Yes, there is a good portion open to the public, but they grow fairly high up in the trees anyhow, only because of all the special care that I've given them, do they exist in number, and will not be on lower branches in habitat, because I provide a tropical rainforest for them here in my yard, I will attempt to get them to flower, by spraying them with special liquid plant food for Brome blooming, but I ask you, when do you suppose is the time of year they will attempt to bloom, one of the recurvatta has already bloomed, (see last thread) ? Ed

Well, I'm not sure about that one Ed, because of the couple I have, one bloomed in summer (Ionantha), the next in spring (Butzii), and I've had one coming into flower now for months, but I'm not sure what it is (its winter now). I don't know if its a species thing or if there is something else that triggers the flowering at different times.
