Need tips for rooting Pavonia multiflora cutting

Hello,

I have one 6" or so cutting of Pavonia multiflora and I really want it to survive. Does anyone have any advice on rooting this?

From Factopia.com:

Cuttings will root readily if inserted in sand, under a glass.
