Official August 2009 Bingo Sign-up!!

If someone would like to donate a prize, please dmail me with details. Only broad details will be given on this thread regarding prizes – 2 $20.00 prizes, plant of choice, surprise package, etc. Prizes will be labeled as #1, #2, #3, etc. Once the “bingo” calls begin, the Bingo person will choose a number, and will be awarded the prize assigned to that number. The person donating the prize will be notified via dmail with delivery info . . .

The plant list will be made available on the next post. Each participant should submit their “card” with 25 choices to me no later than July 31, 2009, so you have time to look over the list!

There will be 1-2 calls made per day, with some "bonus" calls made throughout the month . . . while I will do my best to keep an eye on each players card, it is up to each player to keep up their cards and call Bingo! (now, if someone goes out of town during August for whatever reason, arrangements can be made to have someone else manage your card while you are away).

1) 4 latte cups w/handpainted violets, mixed florist gloxinia seed, and Weismoor strep seed mix
2) 5 pre-measured Optimara Violet Food packets, sm. white plastic pots, and leaves from either Blue Dragon or Green Dragon (pretty sure you will get to pick which).
3) Surprise leaf package
4) 12x12x8 box of baby plants (may include cuttings)

Thanks! I really didn't know how to do this. Since you saw my list, did I do the list correctly? I hope I can count on you for pointers when it's time for the Round Robbin too.

What most of us like to do is really propagate all summer so we have lots for the fall round robin......Nichole will explain those rules.........but basically a box starts on an intended destination mapped out by Nichole.......the box starts out full (8x12x12) Whatever you take, you need to replace something. You are free to take everything but you will need to replace as many as you took out..................IT is a blast to play!!! People post everyday when they get the box what they did keep............if something is dead, remove it and replace it..............

That sounds great! I will have lots of AV leaves and young plants for the Round Robbin. It really sounds like fun. Are leaves acceptable or are plants preferred? I have mostly miniature and micro AVs, but I do have some semi AV plants.

I have an idea..........folks..........since Nichole has done all the hard work for both Round Robin and now her second bingo..............and she is using a bingo ball to call the numbers.....why can't she play and maybe maybe win a prize???????

What do you all think? I certainly trust her...............and trust me.......she has put in many hours always having to be the leader...............We don't have anyone on the av forum that would cheat anyway..........not a single person.......this is only a game and a fun one...........

This kind of bothers me now. That is how all of this started because she mentioned ordering leaves or something to that effect. If nothing else, knock me off of the board and I will be more than happy to call so she can play. I was thinking of some kind of hostess gift myself when I read your earlier comment.

Yes, I did mention starting a Bingo game . . . because I am eyeballing Violet Barn again . . . and in an effort to distract myself from that, I started the interest thread. Whether I receive leaves or not doesn't matter . . . it is the distraction that I am looking for.

I am only wanting to hold out for a few more weeks, so that when I DO make an order (and I will, oh, yes, I will!) I can justify it to DH as a birthday present to myself!

Y'all are nice to say I can play too . . . but I am a sore loser, and would hate to lose my own Bingo game!

She just dmailed me and told her this was her game to call................she doesn't want to play so let's not worry about it..............people can send whatever they want to her if they want................
