African Grey Parrot Stained Glass Window

Tipton, IA

This window was done for a client in California. There are around 650 to 700 pieces in the window. From the start of designing the pattern to finished work was very labor intense and an estimate of 260 to 290 hours were spent.

Approximate size: 20" x 40"

The window is so life-like that you feel like you are part of the jungle setting. The parrot body, eye and nostril have been sand carved and glass enamels have been applied and kiln fired. The large purple flower has a glass nugget in the center. We have also added shadowing to parts of the window. The window required the laser engraver and kiln to be used also for specail effects.
