Well, I've been drooling all over everyone else's blooms and I finally have a few to show today. It's been so hot here all I really get to see is buds forming and dropping. Blooms were far and few between until we started getting daily rain to cool things down.

A few from rainy southeast texas
Wow!
I'm drooling all over myself!!!!!
You must have the perfect weather for those!
Are those all in the ground!
Hi Tropicman
Thanks for the kind words. Well, It's not perfect weather I really wish it were tropical here. LOL If it would stay about 80 degrees and not hit triple digits like it has been doing I'd love it. Many of mine are now in the ground. I have about another 200 or so to plant along my fenceline by the greenhouse. I was keeping them all in pots but decided to plant. The hibbies that I have planted have taken off. I was suprised after everything I had read about planting in the ground. We will see how it goes. I did not plant any grafted though. I am rooting each cv and I'll plant the cutting after it gets large enough.
Robert
The hibbie is a lot stronger and harder if growing on it's own roots than what they use when grafted?
Then why do they graft them to begin with???
Good question tropicman. Here is a link I had posted a while back. The info was written by barry schlueter. Maybe it will help. http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/t/954572/
Take Care,
Robert
Thanks for posting some photos Robert. They're all nice ones. Yolanda Gommer is a real looker.
Thanks Jon,
I am suprised I got anything worth showing. I really wish I could pay more attention to them. I know if I did, they would give me more. You know I still don't have 1 bud on Neon Nova. It's a puzzle to me!
Robert
Oooooooweeeeeee, I can't even choose. Ill just take them all, thank you.
Thanks
Its just hard to imagine a pretty flower would have a poorly growing root!!!
But you gain faster flowering and bigger flowers, and less waiting time, well thats
all hard to beat!!!!
Hi Robert
My hibiscus named "Galaxy Star" is the same way with zero buds. I've had it several months and its, at least, doubled in size. I would think "Neon Nova" would bloom well for you since it blooms well for me. It bloomed today actually. Just give it some more time I guess.
Jon
OMG! Where does one begin, my favs are the 2 seedlings (that 2nd is very nice), ditto on Yolanda, she's an eye catcher & the Plum Pizzazz is awesome up close. Great pics too. Not bad for a days work!
Seedlings need a name!!! How else can we get them unless we can call them by name...:-)
I love that second seedling. It is beautiful. It reminder me of Storm Clouds when it is going to rain. Beautiful.
Nice pictures Robert, to many favorites to list them all. I cant wait to see that hedge full of 200 hibiscus that your planing to plant. :~)
