Honey for healing wounds?

Hi all! ^_^ A friend of mine has a chocolate lab who has munched a spot on his front leg and it got infected. He’s been through a couple of rounds of antibiotics but the wound still is slow to heal. Every day, she puts a bandage on it so that he’ll leave it alone, and every day he removes it.

I seem to remember reading here recently about some people having success in the application of a certain type of honey to promote healing of wounds. Refresh my dying gray cells, please?
