Pondless waterfalls

I would love to see pondless waterfalls as it is my next project!

I'm not sure if this will work but you can try this link to my picasa web album (finished backyard). We had a pondless waterfall put in last fall although it does have a small pond at the end.

We have a couple of pondless streams at our church (Living Streams, hence the streams). I'll try to take a picture of them and post it.

Those are beautiful pictures. I lived in Syracuse years ago. My dad's family if from there, and my best friend from grade and middle school lives in North Syracuse.

For some tips on what to do (or not do!!) with the design - read the thread I started on the pump and bleach. When a pondless stream is designed --depending on the width and depth of the stream and the length of the stream --- and the number of waterfalls.... you have to make sure you provide a reservoir for water sufficient enough to run the water feature. Evaporation can really become a pain causing a drop in the water level which shuts down the pump. We didn't have that knowlege/info and so we started with a pondless stream....that eventually ended up with a 'pond' and all the upkeep that comes with it. The ponds on this site are beautiful and the folks posting are very knowlegeable -- and I think worth every bit of the trouble, but if you are seeking info on a pondless feature --I am assuming that you don't want a pond or the upkeep.
