Here are a few more blooms from the last few days starting with Hibiscus "Osceola"
Blooming In Ft Lauderdale, FL July 17-20
Great Pictures Jon, I really liked your Rocket's Red Glare. Might have to find me one...
Dave
Thanks Dave. I've had Rocket's Red Glare only since late May. It's been an excellent growing plant with no yellowing of the foliage during the adjustment to summer conditions. It's also been blooming pretty consistently since acquired.
Just Awesome Jon!
I'm going out of town for a couple of weeks but will try to show something here tomorrow. Just been so busy burning the candle at both ends. "Worn Out" are 2 good words for me right now. Heck, everyone has been posting some beauties here. Thankfully we have had some rain this last week and it has helped blooming so we have had a few.
Take care,
Robert
Hi Jon,
All your hibiscus look great, maybe Rocket's Red Glare with be open when you go to your next hibiscus show, it is sure to be a winner.
Patrick
Thanks Robert & Patrick. I wouldn't mind a Rocket's Red Glare bloom for a hibiscus show. It hasn't happened yet on just the right day for the mini shows in June or July. Maybe I'll get lucky in August. There's so much luck involved that you have no control over.
Jon
so much beauty on one place :-)
Outstanding Jon... Any luck at the show ?
Thanks okijaner & Jon. Yes, the show went well Jon, and thanks for asking. Voodoo Magic did the trick this time. I had a Gypsy King that day but it just wasn't the quality of bloom I was hoping for that day. There was also a decent "Creme De la Creme" but it was a bit smaller compared to the usual.
Jon
all beautiful Jon & congrats on a win I take it? Outstanding pics as usual but Lemon Express is a clear winner for me.
Lemon Empress and Osceola were free ones. You can't beat that price.
Were those the ones you won for your fabulous job in the hib shows?
They were prizes. Conrad Nursery very generously offers free hibiscus plants as prizes at the monthly mini shows and monthly raffle. I think they give away about 8 free ones every single month. That is quite generous.
Enjoyed the pictures, Jon. Has it dried up in your area? We are still praying for rain! I'm having to water at least every other day if not every day in some spots.
Patty
Thanks Patty. It hasn't been raining as often the past two weeks, but just enough to keep things from needing water. I've only had to water things 3 times since mid May.
Just beautiful. Enjoy seeing your gorgeous blooms. Judy
Many thanks Judy.
