These are 2 peperomia leaves and 1 begonia leaf. I decided to try and see if this would work...I used rooting medium on the stems before I put them in the little pots. Has this worked for anyone else with either Rex begonias or peperomias? ChuLin

Hi Barb...We are not that far apart at all! Did your begonia leaves root OK in water? So far mine have done nothing, but aren't dead either...thats hopeful at least! If this doesn't work, I will try rooting the same plants in water too. Keep me posted! ChuLin
Chulin yes they did it took a while... I placed stryofoam cups in a plastic see through bottle.... I filled the cups with water and placed the stems in and covered the bottle with the lid...Wa la new begonias in no time....
I think they like lots of humidity to root...One guy rooted his in a fish tank with soil in it... He had lots of cuttings going....Neighbor lol

Wow, Barb, those are gorgeous! They look big! Do they do OK in the house in the winter after being outside all summer (well, what passes for a summer...not much of one this year). I love the Rex and am determined to get them to grow for me...small apartment but good light...no balcony or patio (boo hoo). The new Passing Storm begonia I received had centipedes in the pot it came in (yuck) so I rinsed off the roots, the whole thing fell apart, and now I have some in water, some in soil, and none look good! I think I will order from Lyndon Lyon greenhouse next time! ChuLin
