Both silkies are in the bucket,I think the one thats not broody really misses her buddy so she gets in with her once in awhile and the broody does not seem to mind.

Good for you, I think we will never get our outside house finished. And I'm afraid my chickens now just think of themselves as inside chickens. Today they wouldn't even stay outside if I didn't stay out with them.

Yesterday, my dh woke me up, and he asked me if I had let the girls out of their cage. I mumbled that I was still asleep. They heard me and came running in, jumped on the bed, and sat on my shoulder, looking at my face. Oh dear. I have to start showing them my son's bed, so he will want to get this done before they're ready for Social Security.

Oh by the way my son had let them had let them out before he went to work.

Hi Green: Love the pic's, You and Hubby have done such an excellent job. I had to laugh when I saw hubby babysitting the girls. I showed the pic to my wife, she said oh my gosh there is another crazy husband. I go out often and sit with my girls. My poor wife thinks I just to crazy. I love watching them, they are so calming and also funny. Thanks for sharing, Haystack.

They really are calming and funny. But if I go out and sit down, my girls just come over and sit on my lap. It's better if i hang out laundry, or pull weeds. As long as I'm moving they can't jump on me. I'm afraid I've spoiled them too much. How do you unspoil a chicken? My dh who didn't want chickens in the first place, is now like a mother hen, lol. He's always asking me where are the chickens, do they have enough food, are they safe, do they have enough water, will the cat get them. Alice answered that when she was 3 weeks old, and stared down the cat. That's when I was afraid she was a rooster. But they are great, aren't they. They have such personalities.
