Worth Joining

St John's, Antigua and Barbuda(Zone 10a)

As a newbie is it worth e joining BGI or will that likely be above my head :)

Livermore, CA(Zone 9a)

It definitely wouldn't be over your head. Just like Dave's , there are great people there a lot of good information.

La Grange, TX(Zone 8b)

Sue, I like both groups and belong to both, but you need to read Dave's sticky at the beginning of the forum. They are both good learning tools together with the two books I have:

There is a newer version of the Preissel and Preissel book. If you get Monika's book, get it here:

I purchased mine through Amazon.com which doesn't come with the translation booklet.

Thanks for reminding us Betty, I had forgotten also.

La Grange, TX(Zone 8b)

To some extent I understand why the prohibition, but given the tremendous amount of great information from those two groups, it seems a shame not to use it.

Clermont, FL(Zone 9b)

You can't go wrong joining BGI. You'll find a wealth of information and lots of great people, just like here!

Our great webmistress, Mary, has recently redesigned the BGI website and made it more interactive too.

Hope to see you there!
