It's been so hot and dry here lately that I've seen some birds at the birdbath that I wouldn't normally see. I was really surprised to see this female Summer Tanager at the bath one day. But a Bluebird had first dibs and it was quite amusing to see them fight over the bath.
Here, the Bluebird is happily splashing away and the Tanager is just coming up to check things out...she's just to the right of the birdbath just underneath the fake birds tail
That's a cute sight to see. I love it when they finally decide what the heck and both enjoy the water.
Stare down....

I love the look on the face of the Bluebird in this one..."Some birds think they can just come on up in here without reservations"
