Hi, I was going to do some pickling this weekend but noticed this white film stuff on my dill (see picture). Could this be powdery mildew? Seems odd, since nothing else has it. Is it still safe to use. Also, this is my first time making the dill pickles - what part of the dill plant do I use?
It looks like powdery mildew. I haven't made pickles before but my guess is you should play it safe and not use it.
