Instead of bringing them into the big barn for the winter...........I am considering
A) moving this to the paddock and letting them roam
B) fencing it and leaving it in my side yard....would it be horrid to give them a tiny outdoor space?
The drawback to moving it is that - it has power where it is. And if I move it, I don't know if my DH will have time or be motivated to hook it up once moved.

My chickens have been camping....
Jenks that would be perfect (A)for a night coop most chickens spend the whole day outside free rangeing and going in at night.
If you teach them to go in it at night by having a light on in inside then turning it off once they are in and settled they learn where to roost they will always return to it to roost.
This way you don't have to worry about opening and closing the door for them to go out in the morning or to go roost.
It's really cute if you decide you don't want it i will buy it from you that would make a perfect Dove house {:~O
:) thats what I've been wanting to put my chickens in.. only i was thinking a bit bigger bc I want to expand how many chickens I have. But i do eventually want a building very much similar to that. Its adorable. I'd think it would work very well for a coop.
Jenks, What a cute house for a coop. Love the porch. How are your chicks doing?
They're doing great! Growing & growing!
I'm nervous about letting them free range because of my dogs.... right now they are protected not only be the paddock fence (Chihuahua can still get through, but the pit and the dane cannot), but they are also enclosed in a fenced moveable dog run that I move every other day or so. I'll have to take a photo of their tent inside! lol I had also wrapped it in chicken wire that I can probably remove now that they are so big. I used to just take them out there for a few hours when they were little, but they've been staying out there now over night.
