I may have some 'Red Fox' veronica seeds to trade. I need to check the plants but it is raining (finally) today, so I will get back to you. From the photos Echium russicum looks to be similar in habit to Liatris spicata except it blooms from bottom up? Is that correct? I love liatris but it blooms in midsummer with my oriental lilies. So if this blooms with the lupines in spring I have just the spot for it. Well, after I dig something else out, that is. LOL Reseeding is great but sometimes you just have to make room for something new.

At first when these were blooming, I thought it was a new color for liatris but then they were blooming in reverse and in the spring. That is when I had to check my wintersowing notes and discovered I had planted these. I'm famous for not labeling correctly and the ink had faded so I never know what I have growing.
I would love the red fox veronica. I have a blue veronica but have been dying for RED!!!
Thanks - if you're not in the exchange, dmail me your address.

Still didn't get a chance to harvest the 'red fox' seeds. I know there are several I was going to deadhead but I'm not sure how many "ripe" ones there are. It may be that I will have to let them ripen longer if there aren't enough ready but even if they're ready, I will need to let them dry before mailing so it will be a while before they are ready. I'll let you know when I mail them if you just want to save a pack of seeds for me until then. At least these veronica seeds should be very "fresh".

BTW I was looking at your have list & saw you have quite an impressive collection of carnations. Beautiful! What does CFPC stand for? I noticed yours all had that in their name.

The CFPC - just took that info off the label. I bought these thru a DG coop and they were beautiful. Then I don't know what happened, it earwigs attacked them and I had to cut off all the blooms. They rebounded and look better now. I think next year, I'm moving them to pots. If they survive our winters! I should be able to divide them next year.

I will appreciate any seeds you send me. Thanks again for trading.
Have a nice Sunday!

Found it:
California Florida Plant Company = CFPC
I was too curious & just had to know why so many carnations had that in front of their names.

Thanks, I was wondering myself!
