Ok, by popular demand, lol, we are going to have one last secret trade. We need to get the sign up complete ASAP in case any northerners want to participate. This is for the US, but if there is more than one person from another area that wants to participate, I'd be glad to match them up.
For those that have never participated, you will receive a name and address to send a "secret" box to. It must be a plant, NOT seeds. You will get a box from somebody different. It is a one plant minimum, but you may send as much as you would like. Here is a link from the previous secret trade so you can see what people received.
http://davesgarden.com/showthread/86568.html
Please remember you might get something you already have, or something you consider common. I encourage people to have a "want" list on their page, but you may not get any of your wants.
Ok, here is what I need:
you to E-MAIL ME with
name
address
zone
by Sunday, Sept. 23rd (I know this only gives 4 days for sign up but we really need to move for the northerners)
Plants should be shipped by Tuesday the 2nd so that everyone will receive their boxes by the first week of October.
Any questions, don't hesitate to ask.
Lets have some fun!!!

Jody, question for you.........if Sunday is the 23rd and Tuesday is the 24th, what happened to Monday?
Cala
The 24th is Monday. That day would be my birthday, the year I said I was going to stop counting! (OH NO!!!!) sue
I would also like to join in.
I want in :)
OOOOO Jody,
You are tooooo sweet to do this again. I will send you my info.
Teresa
LOL Cala, guess I should have had a calender in front of me instead of just using my "fingers". Giggle Chuckle
Anyway, sign up by Sunday 23rd, mail by the following Tuesday, which is actually Oct 2nd I think, so you'll have about 11 days to mail, not the normal two full weeks. And everyone should have their box by about Oct 5th or 6th.
Sorry for any confusion, LOL.
I would ask that the any northeners mail within the first few days if possible. I know ya'll will be getting frost soon.

i wanna try it.....question....can it be cuttings?...i have a few plants but plenty of cuttings that i can trade, and they are all easy ones....let me know if cuttings are ok
cindy
What a great way to light a fire under those of us who are 'laaazy gardeners' - I've got lots of plants that could benefit from a little division...count me in; I'll be away the last weekend of Sept but can ship directly before or directly after.....
Thanks!
Pat
brommom, you are only required to send "one" plant, so I am sure one plant plus some easy to root cuttings as "extras" would be fine; I took a look at your trade list, and wouldn't mind a bromeliad 'pup' or any of your other wonderful items if I were your secret trade! John
I want to play!!!Can I????
Me. too! I already e mailed you. Doris
Can I make a suggestion for those participating?
I suspect we're going to be peeking at each other's home pages, tradelists and journals for clues as to what our "secret pal" doesn't have or things that might do well in his/her area.
The more info you provide in those areas, the better. Some folks don't want to get too specific in where they live, but please put your state and zone at a minimum. (I think we'd all agree that zone 7 in the Pacific NW is definitely not the same growing conditions as zone 7 in the Southeast.)
If you need some assistance on how to make those changes to your homepage, post them here, or even e-mail me and I'll walk you through, step by step. Jody, thanks again for agreeing to organize this "encore performance". I can hardly wait!!!!
Hello Jody
I am new here but have been in one other secret trade. I wouls like to join in this one, but I will be gone from Oct 3rd through about the 14th. I can mail my package before I leave but would it be possible to have the person sending to me wate untill to mail so it would not arrive untill after the 14th? Thank you, Penny
Hello again, Jody said as I don't have my plant wants list filled out here yet I should go ahead and just post it here. :-) Or you can see my full trade list at: http://www.gardenweb.com/members/exch/newpenny
Plants I am looking for:
"Woodsy", naturel looking plants for in the sides of my big cedar stump in front of the house that is in sun untill late afternoon.
The old little green leaved Hoya house plant that blooms around Christmas time.
Mallow (Marsh?), the kind they used to make Marsh mellows out of before they started using gellatin instead. I would also like a recipe for making marsh mallows using the plant.
Blueberries any variety that can survive here zone in 7.
Currents all colors if they will survive here.
Grapes
Herbs for teas.
Chamomile, the low grwoing ground cover type. Maybe it's roman?
Yummy scented herbs.
Pink Lilly of the valley
Jack in the pulpet
Lady slippers orchids
Also see my seed want list
Part to full shade plants.
Ferns I don't have that are hardy to zone 7. I have Western Sword fern - Polystichum munitum, some kind of native wood?, lady? fern- not sure what they are, Sensative fern, Hart's tongue - Asplenium scolopendrium, and Cliff Brake - Pellaea falcata fern.
I also want to start a cut flower garden and a dried/everlasting garden. What I have the most of is part to full shade but we plan to put in a small garden next spring in the only sunny spot on our property. :-) Untill then any sun lovers would have to live in a pot in the sunny spot.
Lots and Lots of things I haven't seen yet and things I've seen that I've forgotten. So tempt me with what you have. :-)
