? on blanket flowers

Northern, MI(Zone 6a)

Hi Folks,
Three years ago I planted blanket flowers and they grew full and I couldn't stop them from blooming. Real nice flowers they were. Three quarters through the year they started to get lite yellows spots on them and they end up dieing. I planted some this spring and they were doing great till now. The same thing is happening. Any ideas as to what is happening here?
Thank you for your time.

I cannot seem to get more than one picture posted on here. Does anyone know how to post a couple of pics in the same reply?

If you go to my photo bucket account you can see what I'm talking about.

It was probably septoria leaf spot. It is a fungus. Here is a link about it.

Thanks Loon,
I'm wondering how I got it. This is the second time now for the same type of plant.
Could it be from overwatering? I think I may have done that both times. I don't think these things need as much water as I have been giving them. Next time I will let them starve for water and see if that helps.

Some of the leaves may have dropped on the ground and the spores overwintered. Try planting it in another area next year and do a good fall cleanup on the plants and leaves.
