Lovely Gift!!

Hi all,
I got home from work today and what a wonderful treat was waiting for me!! It was a box from David Thompson,one of my all time favorite growers.
I coudn't imagine what it would be?? Inside were three absolutely gorgeous,healthy Streps.......and a beautiful note stating they were a gift from Gail!!
Gail,thank you so much!! ^_^. You know how much I love his Streps.......but I woudn't have dreamed you would send me such a wonderful gift!!..........and you did this only because I love his Streps!!

This is Spiritual Corridor,about 2 hours out of the box.Such a beautiful deep color.

Her leaves are so big I had to give her a drink and have my DH hold her to keep her from falling over.LOL

She is smaller,but just loaded with buds!!

I agree with you , DT 's streps are wonderful , I bought a bunch on ebay too and just adore them and he offers such generous plants , large and blooming and Gail is one of the most generous and sweet ladies I know , we are truly blessed to know her , I hope the plants from her give you a smile everytime you look at their lovely blooms :)

Gail is a very generous and giving person, even when she is getting nothing in return. A few years back I mentioned I liked one sort of hoya and she sent me not only cuttings of that one, but a few others as well, all of which I still have and they have grown into very nice plants. She didn't even know me, or want anything from me, which is usually the case when someone wants to send you something - but really she was just being the giving soul that she is. I can't say it is just a "plant person" thing, because although I have met some incredibly generous and kind people thru these forums, I have also met some real jerks.

Gail, that was very sweet of you to send Lynn the streps! I can only imagine how good it made her feel to open the box. They are all so pretty, how awesome that they were in bloom too! These kinds of gestures renew my hope in the human race, it gets pretty down low sometimes. Thanks for being such a nice person!
