I've collected several GOOD sermons of Biblical truths on the 10 Commandments along with live music that I'd like to burn on a CD & share with my friends & family. Problem is, I don't know what program to use to make good recordings.
Staples had a nice sale so I was able to buy a big spindle of CD-R discs (read somewhere that they last longer with better performance than the RW).
My computer's OS is Vista. After finding the files I chose "Burn" from the taskbar at the top. It opened up another window with Window's Media Player & I proceeded to follow what I thought was a simple system.
After the disc popped out, I tried it on my CD player (a Phillips, a CD Rewritable Compatible player). It doesn't work. I opened the disc in the drive & even tried to click on a file to play any of them but a message comes up saying,
"Windows Media Player cannot play the file because the specified protocol is not supported. If you typed a URL in the Open URL dialog box, try using a different transport protocol (for example, "http:" or "rtsp:")."
In fact I can't get it to work on my computer either. I look at the properties of the original files in my music/religious folder & it seems they're all mp3 files.
What am I doing wrong?
