New Hummingbirds to the feeders

It's been a few days since I've seen the Hummingbirds, and today some new ones showed up:)

I've got quite a few hummer pics that I've taken. Here's one that I culled that was taken about dusk best I remember.............

Ahh, ruby throated hummingbird. Very very nice! Your location is North Carolina! How is the weather there? I used to live in Burgaw and Wilmington NC for a few years.

I've been doing some looking at hummingbird pictures... and I really can't tell what kind she is?

The weather sucks here at the moment Teresa. About 94 and very humid with little or no rain. I love Wilmington. My company's headquarters are there. I'll be in the Wilmington/Carolina Beach/Fort Fisher area next Tuesday through Thursday on vacation......

That's awesome 24! pelletory, I have a picture of her from behind... her throat looks different from the ruby throat hummers I have seen, this ones feathers look like a pattern, not just white on the throat. Unless it's young.

I got a better picture of her today. Is she a female black chinned hummingbird? The male and the female fought over the hummingbird feeder today. I watched for a couple of hours and got some better photos.

I think until he ages it will be hard to tell but I think right now I would guess an immature male Ruby-throated. Nice pics!

Teresa.Those are beautiful shots. What type of camera were you using?

I use a Sony Cyber-shot, 8.1 mega pixels, 10x zoom, digital still image. Simple compared to Canon. Thank you very very much miamiswamper:)

Got a picture of the male black-chinned hummingbird at the new feeder. He likes it more than the others.

A better picture with the feeder actually in the photo....

I'm gonna have to put tape on the back of this feeder! They always hide back there and drink, but peek their heads out to play peek-a-boo. I hate getting pictures of them like that. Shy little things...
