Went to a relatives over the July 4th weekend in Melrose, Fl. They had this huge Elephant ear growing on the side of their house. Its only an hour south of me but I can't get mine nearly that large. I took notes though, its in filtered sun under oak trees and I noticed a leaking faucet that probably gave it all the water it needed. Pretty amazing.

I just separated my pot of Variegated Xantho. I have read they can get the same giant size as the green form but would love to see a photo of a mature one. I may put one or 2 in the ground and see if they take off. A 4 foot variegated leaf would be incredible.......
