Very nice!! What stage were they when you got them? I planted seeds last year and they didn't come up.

Small seedlings, and they haven't grown very tall at all,I'm surprised they are flowering at such a small size.there getting a half a day of full sun,and yesterday was 107*,and they didn't seem to mind it at all.

Don, mine came back from last year - you'd better pack up and get down here!

Bushland, TX(Zone 6a)

I can't !!!
I wish I could!!!
President Obama Has me tied up in this stimulus package.like a lot of other people, lost thousands in my 401K package, which was going to help fund my retirement!!!!

Lee's Summit, MO(Zone 6a)

Don, I hear you loud and clear - I lost a lot of money, too - it's sickening!

Bushland, TX(Zone 6a)

Yes and I'm afraid it has hit hard to many people who can retire and didn't and wished they had did so!
Then there are people who just need a couple more years, before they can get medicare that lost thousands, and now need to stay on for insurance purposes!!!
Sad think this is going to take years before things get back to the norm!!If they ever get back!

Believe it was president before that messed up my savings and stocks.

Houston, TX(Zone 9a)

It is striking, bought it from Kartuz this spring. I want to obtain a red one next!

Bushland, TX(Zone 6a)

And its already flowering????
Can't get any better than that!!!
Did you get a plant or a bulb?
My Sis here in Wichita has bought several bulbs off QVC and gets them to flower about end of August,if they don't flower for me I give them away to her, then she gets them to flower and won't give them back!!!!LOL

Houston, TX(Zone 9a)

I got the bulbs...
The trick is to ignore them...plant them in a crappy soil spot, that stays hot and dry and they'll perform beautifully. Pamper and water, will yield a lovely frustration bloom on the gardeners face!

Houston, TX(Zone 9a)

They are from S. Africa, and it seems that a few of the plants that come from there like African Violets don't want to have anything to do with normal watering!~

Bushland, TX(Zone 6a)

Like you my sis has seen that look on my face!!!!LOL
Thanks for the secret!!!!
I might try again!!!!
