Looking for a DIY chicken tractor

Camanche, IA(Zone 5a)

Hi I hope some one can help I am looking for a D. I. Y. Chicken Tractor, I found one in a mag, at work some time from the first of the year. Now some one has taken the mag. from work. I don't know what mag. or month it was. At work I have seen Mother Earth News, Organic Gardening, or Grit. If you have your copy, could you check? It was a half page news item, showing two chicken tractors. I think it about 3 by 8ft, A frame. I sure would like to find it, I tried going on line to the mag. and using the search, all I found was a chicken coop. If you can help I want to thank You. Once I know the Mag. and the date I'll go to library to see if they carry it. Thank You Phil

I just happened to see your post. Google....chicken tractor, austin, tx....there's a whole group of folks who raise chickens in their backyards, offer helpful info, and one shows a pic of their tractor. There's also a business that sells tractors on the site. Hope that helps. You can at least get some good suggestions.

There's a lot of good stuff here. Other than going back through a ton of threads, I don't know...don't recall any one stand out tractor. I'd list the basic things you want to incorporate, consider what you've got to work with, and go from there. Perhaps someone may know which specific design you looked at, but barring that..........

Best of luck! And check back in if you come up with something fabulous, please!! Lots of great people and info floating around here...
