I posted in two places already, but no replies, yet. Please advise, as 20 rooted tomato cuttings are in question.
P.S. There are NO stem lesions. Only the lower leaves on this one plant are involved, so far...
Thanks!
Linda

Does This Damage Look Like LATE BLIGHT Disease?
I found this on google: "Symptoms: Greasy looking, irregularly shaped gray spots appear on leaves. A ring of white mold can develop around the spots, especially in wet weather. The spots eventually turn dry and papery. Blackened areas may appear on the stems. The fruit also develop large, irregularly shaped, greasy gray spots. " with suggestion to talk to your local extension office...
From this description, it doesn't look like the picture you posted...
You're making me very Happy, Happy!
I think You are pre-maturely Happy..Happygirl..
sorry, but it does appear to be late blight.
the greasy apperance, is only for a very short time, then the leaves turn brown, and pretty much disintegrate before your eyes..
Thanks for the correction, Pharmermn... I am still VERY new at this, and rely on google for a lot. (That is, until I met Dave's Garden, and now I'm learning from the masters!)
I've been watching that one seedling, and I don't think it's LB at all. I think it's some sort of foliar thing going on. The stem is extremely strong at the bottom, and new leaves are coming up from the bottom. I'm gonna just let it send out a new tip, cut off the damaged leaves, and see what happens.
Thanks for ya'lls input!
