I am wanting to build a bog planter to run in my pond and I am looking for the wood that I can use that won't kill my koi. I have read that I can't use treated or redwood! I was wondering if cedar would work? Or I am also open to suggestions of what else I could use to build a bog planter. My space is just 12 inches deep and 5 foot long! TIA
Have a great day!

Bog Planter
Hazel- cinder blocks are often used for building bogs. I have a good short article I could email you if you would like.
Would you mind sending me the article as well please? I'm considering redoing my entire pond set-up toward the end of summer, and would like to incorporate a bog area, but am not familiar enough with the "how-to".
Thanks, in advance. :)
I dmailed you both. Hope it helps.
LB, could you dmail the article to me as well? We have a large pond which developed a leak last year and although not impossible, it would be a major ($$$) undertaking to find and fix the leak. We've decided to just let nature take its course and will be transforming the area into a bog garden. Any information you have on building bogs would be helpful and most appreciated :)
