What a strange location for a "nest".

thats what I thought Juneybug. There is a hut that the birds can get to. When I saw the egg I was puzzled by it's size and it's location.
I will deffently be going back this summer, I love feeding the emus

Domesticated birds like that often just dump their eggs anywhere without realising it - they have very poor maternal instincts, they reckon (rightly!) that the farmer will look after everything for them (actually, more realistically, they've been bred by the farmer for that characteristic).
