Hi, my name is Sandra. I just found this site today and think I'm gonna like it!
I live on the High Plains of Texas. It can get pretty hot and dry here, so it takes a lot of determination to keep a nice yard. I'm really into flowers, especially native Texas varieties. I'm also an avid birdwatcher, and try to grow things that will bring them into my yard. I grow many different flowers for the hummingbirds, and LOVE watching those little guys. I love most all critters, with the exception of cats (they hunt my birds). I also own a spoiled rotten green-cheeked conure. And when I'm not toiling in my garden or watching the birds, I like to ride my motorcycle!
I might as well admit my ignorance right now and get it out of the way. What does "lol" mean? I see it here and other places all the time.

Welcome Sandra Lonestar! I am a newbie here, too. LOL does not mean "lots of love" as I once thought but "laughing out loud". Now all those replies to me did not mean they loved me but they were laughing at me, oh dear! LOL at myself! Hope you enjoy it here! :)

Thanks, FaithFairy! "Lots of love" is what I at first thought it meant, too. But there were times when that didn't make sense, so I'm glad I asked.
