Jan: Your photo's are wonderful, thank you so much for sharing! I hope to someday get up to D.C. where my mom was born and the Botanical Gardens is at the top of my list of places to visit!

Love those Sinningia's and I really like the looks of that arrangement with what looks to be a huge birdsnest fern in the center of that big urn. Really nice!

I only took a couple pictures inside. Everything was so beautiful to look at, there were wall to wall plants of all kinds and sizes arranged just beautifully. There were not very many gessies, but they were almost all full of bloom. This place is open to the public nearly everyday of the year and FREE thanks to your tax dollars. tish

Michael Kartuz hybridized this one. He must have been proud to be there to see it on display and blooming so beautifully. He had a professional camera and he was walking all over, very, very interested in all kinds of plants and taking lots of pictures. He has a lot of energy! tish

I love visiting these gardens....my favorite ever is Moody Gardens in Galveston TX. Wish I had taken more pics when I went there, I was with my son who was about 14 or 15 at the time. Longwood Gardens near Philadelphia is nice too.

Thanks for posting

jmp, The man who runs Moody Gardens I used to work with before he left to go to Moody Gardens. They do have a beautiful tropical garden.
