Early Dividend Broccoli

Phoenix, AZ(Zone 9a)

Does anyone know of a reliable source to purchase these seeds from? I haven't seen them locally in the Phoenix area. I know Reimer sells them, but their Watchdog rating has me a little concerned about ordering from them.

I normally do not grow hybrids, but have heard excellent things from others about ED and it apparently does well here in my area.

Any suggestions for seeds sources is much appreciated!!

There are not many first line companies that do not sell Early Dividend. It is an excellent short season broccoli, much better than Packman in my opinion. I get mine from Twilley www.twilleyseed.com others include https://www.veseys.com/ca/en/store/vegetables/broccoli/earlydividend http://www.nextharvest.com/broccoli.htm http://www.parkseed.com/gardening/PD/5060 http://www.rohrerseeds.com/store/singlelist.asp?id=369 Google Early dividend and you will find dozens of vendors.

Thanks so much for the links, Farmerdill!!

I will check them out. Glad to hear you like it as well. I've heard only good things about it.

I looked for it this spring, but the places that normally sell it said they were sold out.

It's certainly worth searching out.

Park is sold out, but the other links Farmerdill provided appear to have it in stock. Some you have to buy larger amounts (1/4 oz and up), but easy enough to split with a friend, or 2 or 3 - lol.

Broccoli leaves are sweet and tasty, too. I munch mine raw as I wander in the garden. Broccoli is supposed to be better for vitamins and nutrition than all other veggies, and then they tested the leaves, and found the leaves to be even more nutritious than the buds. Wowee.

A bit like leathery spinach in texture, not bad at all.
