I've attached a picture of my limelight hydrageas. They are being attacked by something. I've seen this same leaf spot on my basil plants. Does anyone know what is causing it and how to cure? I did see one bug - hard backed thing with spots. I am not sure if he is the culprit.
Does anyone know what this pest/disease is???
Thanks!
I get a small striped beetle that makes brown spots on alot of my stuff.
They're hard to kill.
You need something like Sevin to knock them down.
Insecticidal soaps and natural remedies don't seem to bother them.
Loon you are th pletherer of knowledge!!! Ronna
I've seen this on my limelight too. First I thought it was the four-lined plant bug, as the first signs of damage were definitely that. But then the leaves curled and browned up like yours, this is something I don't see with four-lined 'monster' on my other plants. I went on a garden tour in Metamora a couple of weekends ago, and saw Limelights at three or four of the houses--all of them looked like the damage you posted about.
