milkweed bugs

Columbus, MS(Zone 8b)

Today a milkweed bug was on my passionvine eating one of the gulf fritillary caterpillars. Are they normally predators of cats? Thanks.

Look under "food".

Thank you for the helpful site!

I take a cup of soapy water out and hold it under the branch and thump'em in.

But there are assassin bugs that prey on young cats too. Along with praying mantis and lizards, wasp and etc. So it is a battle. That is why when I see them I bring them in and cage them, feed and then release as adults when they emerge from chrysalis. Click on my ID and read my diary entry about raising if you are interested.
