Cute and tiny

South, TX

I thankfully feel better today. Not very dizzy. :)

So, I did some things around the house and made King Ranch chicken for dinner tonight. I made my own fresh cream of mushroom soup to add to it. WOW, so much better than the canned. Even took a picture of it! ;)

ANYWAY, I had some fun too. I took some cuttings from two Episcia plants. I had bought some very small pieces to put together some really small cuties. They are all in the candle area of H. Lobby. So pretty.

Here are the photos. Moss Agate is first.

Sally: Those are adorable! I love the little glass containers. I think the second one would look really cool sitting on a mirror, really pretty with stolons trailing out over the mirror.

I have a mirror. Bought a small one. I thought it would be nice under one of them. Or to be a pond in the fairy home yard.

How much light do they need? They would look so cute in the bathroom on a shelf.

Sally, you really outdid yourself with those adorable containers. Are you telling where you got them? I would love to have some of those and let them trail out to the side like Lin suggested.

Pat, I would think they would do great in a bathroom as they love both humidity and they don't require a lot of light.

Beautiful!

They are adorable. I wish there was a Hobby Lobby somewhere near us here in Cent. Fl.
I've not seen any tiny glass containers or baubles like that anywhere.
You are very creative, Sally. With your pictures and the way you display your plants is awesome.

Sally, did those vases really come from Hobby Lobby? They are just great!

Sally-
glad to hear you had a great and productive "well" day!! :0) It can bring a lot of joy to have a good day like that!

Your episcias look very happy in their new glass homes. I just love hobby lobby!!

I've not seen that cloche-type piece...I'll have to keep my eye out for that one.

Thanks. In Tiny Gardens and Terrariums, we like to experiment. I went to Hobby Lobby a few weeks ago and found great cuties in the candle area.

I had looked online forever for things like this. Lots of fun. TOO HOT to play outside, so I am staying in.

Seedpicker, thanks, it IS good to feel better. I hope it continues. I had been doing so well for a while.

Sally,
They are lovely!! Looks like I need to make a trip to Hobby Lobby, especially now that I have some light pinks.I love the way you display them.

South, TX

Lynn, get BIG bowls if you want the big pinks to be happy. Of course, get tiny ones too for fun! A smaller leaf is best in the little ones. Just look all over for glass. It is in several places. Put things on thier side, upside down, right side up, etc... ha. So much fun to use things in different ways.

Thanks Sally!! I know Cleopatra needs a BIG bowl.Years ago I had a huge bubble terrarium on a pedestal and Rex Begonias and pink Episcias loved it......too bad I gave it away. They used to be very inexpensive.Maybe I need to grow garage saleing LOL

H.Lobby had the glass 50% off once when I went!!!

Taft, TX(Zone 9a)

Sally, I have never caught a sale at Hobby Lobby on what I wanted, but I do understand that they change every week with different departments selling at 50% off. So happy you found them on sale!

Do you keep up with the sales? I would have to take the CC paper and that is just more paper to throw away for me.

MSU, MS(Zone 8a)

Thanks Gessie. I think I know what I can grow in a bathroom window now:)

No, I don't keep up with the sales or even go that often. I do get the newspaper and they have big ads, but I just get lucky, or not... ha.

Gail: Go to HL's website and bookmark it: http://www.hobbylobby.com/weekly/weekly.cfm and you can view the weekly ad's and print the coupon!

Lin, you are a sweetheart!! I had no idea I could check on line. I use so many of the 4x6 zip locks and they are 3.00 a package. It adds up in a hurry. Thanks!
