My apple tree died. I planted it 2 years ago and it died last year. now I have branches growing out of the bottom of the trunk. can I save the tree? Is there a website I can get info about how to cut it back? my husband said just cut it down and start over. I really don't want to do that. thanks for any help.

Dig it out and start over.
The tree you planted is dead. What's sprouting now is the rootstock, which is completely different.
