Very pretty!

It's a weed here and IMHO, the flower doesn't justify the space this thug takes.

My butterflies and hummers would disagree.

Yes, Ginger - they love it, but YOU KNOW it's a rampant grower!

yes, that was true for me when I lived on St. George Island...but here I'm havin' a hard time getting it to a decent size thanks to the bunnies and squirrels. I keep trying though. LOL

Beautiful. I have a large bed of the regular and had never seen variegated. Mine is buzzing with hummers from first to last bloom.

How pretty! I've never seen the variegated, either. Thank you for posting your picture!

I have the Var. one but it likes to revert back to the solid green. I just try to keep the green shoots cut off. Also have the pink blooming one which does not grow are fast or large for me. Although thugs, they are good at covering my large areas. Because of this I sometime allow thugs to take over. Need to thin several things back hard. Some day...

DdeTex,
I have the same problem with it trying to revert back to solid green. Hopefully, enough will remain variegated.

I purchased a "Mexican Turk's Cap" in Rockport last fall. It gets quite big. However, I've had not a single bloom on it this year.

LouC you get down to Rockport after Oct 15th and I'll sprout all the cuttings you want . The cut ants feed quite well on mine . digger
