CLOSED: FYIThompson & Morgan .99 sale

Greensboro, NC(Zone 7a)

http://www.tmseeds.com/ilist/sale.html%20/

Sale ends July 16th. Mix of annuals, perennials and veggies. Shipping is a bit steep but if you have a current catalog there might be an Offer Code in a yellow box on the back cover. I entered the number on mine into the online order form and it took off $5. I ordered about $49 (half for me and half for a friend) standard shipping was $7.95--less the $5 so I came out about $52.
Just thought I'd share the info.

Thanks so much.

wish i would have seen that before i ordered lol thxs

Greensboro, NC(Zone 7a)

me too:lol: Thought I was all clever digging up a catalog and trying out the number:lol:
I'm happy with the $5 off I got from that--covered most of their ridiculous postage. Some of what they're offering (not all!) I had picked up at Valueseed a couple of months ago and they (valueseed sells overstock or end of season overages for T&M) ship for $1.99. They just didn't have the same selection--I check there periodically throughout the year to see if anything new has been added.

Ames, NE(Zone 5b)

dmac085 Thank you this cost me 69.07..LOL
It would have only cost me about 20.00..
But I had to show DW Shirley...LOL
Thank You for the tip about online coupon

Boise, ID(Zone 6a)

Thanks for letting us know about the sale. I got the code CR888 for the $10 off when I signed up to receive the next catalog. Of course I bought even more since I was saying $10 lol

I need to be smacked--I ordered more last night and used the $10 off code:lol: They had added a few things since the first time I ordered--all that Kew garden stuff:lol:

Glad everyone has found some good deals:) Had to share the info--don't like being knee deep in an addiction all by my lonesome ;)

Phoenix, AZ(Zone 9a)

I checked it out the other day and when I finally ordered I noticed they had added some stuff too. Thanks for allowing us to share in your (mostly) harmless addiction!!

Greensboro, NC(Zone 7a)

I've found the people most prone to catching it tend to hang out here at DG anyway:lol:
Yeah, I'm a peach alright:lol:

Garner, NC(Zone 7b)

Thanks for the head's up:)) I successfully used the coupon for the $10 off. Niccccce!

North of Atlanta, GA(Zone 8a)

the system doesn't prevent you from using coupon code but sometime they will contact you and tell you that you can not use coupon code on sales item. I had that happened to me last year.

Did you get a confirmation that your seeds had shipped out?

Greensboro, NC(Zone 7a)

I got the two invoices so far in the mail--my billing and shipping addresses are different. Between the two orders I placed only 3 of the items weren't available of the 67 packs I ordered (1/3 for a friend, 1/3 for me and some to share). I received an email and it mentions 7-10 business days so I expect I'll see them sometime this week.

Phoenix, AZ(Zone 9a)

I used the coupon code for $10 off $10 and the correct price was charged to my card when the seeds were shipped, so it worked for me^_^

North of Atlanta, GA(Zone 8a)

fantastic. I will have to go find my catalogs to see if I can use the discount.

Greensboro, NC(Zone 7a)

Received my first order today--big old bubble envelope--I forgot how large packs of beans are:lol: Will most likely see the second order tomorrow or Wed. Pretty fast shipping for sale items!

Delray Beach, FL(Zone 10b)

Does Value Seed guarantee their seeds? I am concerned with some of the reviews of TM products, but they have some unique varieties. If they have germination issues (as some reviewers stated), I would like to get refunds/replacements. I am learning the hard way that plants/seeds on sale are only a good deal if they grow. It can be difficult to get refunds/replacements from some companies.

Delray Beach, FL(Zone 10b)

Answered my own question. From the value seeds site:

"Because of the extremely low prices on this website all sales are final and no refunds will be given. You can get all the sowing and aftercare instructions you need right here on our website. "

Thanks, but no thanks.

Greensboro, NC(Zone 7a)

Value Seed is the clearance house of T&M so I don't imagine there is much of guarantee. T&M tends to carry some fussy to grow seeds as well as seeds more geared towards novice gardeners. I know my limitations and stick to easy stuff:lol:
If you have reservations I would suggest calling or emailing first.

This is from the order form inside the print catalog:

"Please Read Before Placing Your Order

(third paragraph down from top)
Satisfaction Guaranteed: All items listed in T&M's catalogs have been rigorously checked to ensure they maintain T&M's pre-defined high quality standards. In the unlikely event that you have cause to complain, please notify us of any seed problems within one year of purchase enclosing both the outer packet and inner foil, unless special conditions apply. Please return all other items within 14 days of receipt if any product does not meet your expectations, for replacement or refund (less shipping & handling).

Value Seed only offers seed in the foil inner wrapper (no T&M outer photo packaging) and virtually no way to contact them other than the order site (no phone number).

Hope that helps you make your decision one way or the other.

Greensboro, NC(Zone 7a)

This sale is not from Value Seed but from T&M--all seeds I received are marked for this years sales and have the outer photo retail packaging as well as the inner foil pack with the seeds enclosed.

Phoenix, AZ(Zone 9a)

Looking forward to receiving mine! Like dmac said, you gotta know your limitations when it comes to seed starting. Some seeds are way more difficult to germinate than others. Those I'll save until I have more experience, or at least until I can take the disappointment - lol.

North of Atlanta, GA(Zone 8a)

T&M list the level of difficulty for germination. That should be enough for the gardeners to determine whether it's worth the try.

(Zone 7a)

Am adding my thanks to the others' for letting us know about this sale - much appreciated
