Shhhhhh...

My H. limoniaca has buds. He doesn't know that I know so I snuck this photo while he was sleeping. If I pretend to not notice maybe they'll actually open...
I think I need to thank Christine for these. She posted somewhere that she mists her Hoyas morning and evening so I started doing that. I now have buds on the limoniaca and on my H. kentianna.

Good thinking, Agent #9.

Oh wow - how wonderful LeeAnn! You're going to love the flowers, they're so perfect!! Even if they are rather scentful, but nicely so.

WOW! Congrats! Did they open this morning? Have you sniffed them yet?

They opened this morning...can't wait for tonight to sniff him. I've another Hoya with buds but no tag...dang cats!! Waiting for them to open and maybe I'll get an ID.

Look at the cool leaf to the left, it looks like it has three points ... what a cool deformity! Trying to emulate a maple leaf maybe? Only in Canada ... LOL!

oh...hehehe...the Hoya grew into the ivy I have growing in that window. It's blooming among the ivy leaves, I didn't want to chance untangling it and disturbing the buds.

Nice look!

LOL, trust me to think it was a deformity...

Oh, about the smell of those flowers .... you won't have to get very close to smell them once its dark out. When its in bloom (and it will soon be for me too), my husband won't go into that bedroom at night, even if it does have the only TV upstairs...lol. Personally, I love the way they smell, so clean and, well, yes, a wee bit pungent.

Very nice Lee Anne, such a pretty bloom! I was going to ask about the leaf to the left in that photo too, LOL. The hoya sure looks great trainling amongst the Cissus.

I had a Cissus rhombifolia: http://davesgarden.com/guides/pf/showimage/195820/ for years but last year and year before, birds decided to build their nest in the middle of it ... the plant is almost totally dead. I should take cuttings and root them!

They smell lovely!! DH says they smell like Jergens soap. I detect that as well but with undertones of something else.

Lin...I just love my Cissus. So easy, grows lush with no maintenance and unlike Ivies (spider mite magnets) never a bug to be found.
