Okay some of you may remember me posting a picture of Nugget as a small chick. This is Nugget today. Any guesses on male/female? It is now about 6 weeks old.

I don't even see a comb so i'm saying Hen :~)
No waddles, normal sized feet - hen.

I'm hoping hen. Thanks for the input. I was thinking hen but thought my opinion might be a bit jaded since I really wan't it to be a hen.

Smedgkles I think your son is wonderful for knowing that about chickens "no waddles it's a hen" most people don't even know what a wattle is.
The correct spelling is "Wattle's" and yes "no wattles it's a hen" i didn't catch the miss spell when i posted.

Gwen we know Nugget is part Silkie and we believe the father is our Golden laced polish roo because of the colors. We have another chick a bit older than Nugget that has some of the same colorings and the poof on the head but does not have the feathered feet as Nugget does, we think it is mixed with an Australorp. Our Golden laced polish is loose in the yard and when we let the other chickens out sometimes he catches them (bad boy).
