The deer are starving in this drought and last night they came in to my yard and had a feast I am struggleing to keep my yard and trees from drying out and the wildlife are not helping. I am going to send some pictures showing what I mean. I have decided to buy some corn and maybe some pellets to help them out maybe they will quite eating me out of house and home.

Deer fencing around your precious plants and shrubs might be needed.

Fencing around the whole yard would be ideal. If not, cages are good. I use welded wire fencing and cut off enough to make a wide enough cage around smaller trees, connecting ends together with wire, using metal fenceposts driven way down into the ground for support, tying those to the cage with wire. Feeding deer will just keep them around more.

We had lost a lot of plants until we put up an electric fence. Since we are almost in the national forrest, we had small herds of them going through our yard. We fenced the back yard, and put everything they liked to eat inside the fence.

I will try to put some thing up but its too late they came back and cleaned me out, I don't have any cucumbers left or tomato's I had a great year going in my garden too but I reaped plenty before they cleamed me out. I am a little dissapointed but there is allways next year.

I bet if your nurse them along, they'll produce again in the fall.
