HEB Beef Recall
The ground beef I bought Monday was fine...sell by dates on recall for that went through June 20. Haven't checked yet on what's in my freezer.
I cooked a brisket in crock pot yesterday. Bought from HEB. Dug the tag out of the trash after news report, not sure if it's on the recall......but we are alive and kickin' so I'm thinking we're going to be okay!l It is scary, tho.
I can't help but wonder what has happened. several yrs ago there was not so much recall due to E. coli. Now every other day it seems there is a recall. I just don't quite understand.
I remember a few yrs ago they caught a man on tape sprinkling dried poop on and in all the meat cases. I can't remember who he was mad at but he was going to make a lot of people pay. Lucky they caught him.
This could have happened during slaughtering but I would think we would get better at it not worse.
