I have some seeds that I collected from the agricultural experiment station at Jackson, TN for this. Pentepetes phonecia?? it has little orange hibiscus like blooms all up and down along the stems. Is that the right thing ??

I had looked for Penta Pete--2 words and found nothing, I could not make out the last word--I posted the seedlings on the ID page trying to find out what it was.
I knew the seeds looked like hibiscus, but when they first started coming up I thought it looked like morning glories, then it doesn't again !!!!

I had collected a lot year before last, I am not sure they had them out there last year ...let me see how many I've got ...they are prolific seeders , so I should have quite a few. If you get one plant ...it will put out more seeds than you'll ever be able to use. LOL

well i don't care if it goes all over. i just like them little flowers all up and down. totally unexpected when i first saw it. no wonder thomas jefferson grew it. and i have never told anyone this but when i was on my senior trip at monticello as we were going thru the dining area and with a large group of people i passed.......gotta go. my daughter came in. lol.

yes i did just that. the tour guide cleared us out of the area real quick. it was so bad that years later when i told my best friend she looked at me and busted out lauging saying "that was you?" lol.
They were in a seed box that a bunch of us sent around--I didn't know who put them in , but yes she said she probably did.

the only seeds i have are double purple poppy seeds. but if you have lots of these pentapetes seeds i would be happy to send a plant. iris i got lots of. some dl's but don't want to dig those until fall. same with any perennial. i'll look at your want list if you have it posted.
