I posted some time ago about the leaks we had in both this pond and waterfall we inherited here in our rental house....One serious leak was caused by PVC pipe underground that froze and ruptured last winter and wasn't found until we started the pump in early April...We were losing nearly 2 inches of water in the pond per day...
As of today, the entire waterfall has been rebuilt, and the pond edging has been completely redone due to the removal of some 500+ pound boulders that were nearly in the pond from frost heaves....
These are some pics from March until today showing the progression from the demo to the finish...We still have to remove extraneous rocks and level down the dirt, but it is otherwise finished...
This is the falls and the pond in March...Watch for the huge boulders...
The Leaks are gone and it is Finally back together!!
We still have some tweaking and cleanup to do, but the hard part is done and over with at last...Only took 3 months...LOL
Dusty, apparently we were both doing the same things over the last few months except my fish were sick and dying-no leaks-my pond was new. I put in the bottom drain.
Your pond turned out beautiful. You didn't just complete it -did you? Your pond plants looks so amazing that they make me think you waited a bit before you took the picture. Anyway, I don't know about you but I feel a little relief at getting this done and putting all the plants back into the ground and cleaning up.
Beautiful, Dusty, very very lovely.
What happened to the huge boulders?
You should be very proud of all you have done.
They went next door Shar.... ;-P
Thanks MM....The plants were here already in the pond, and have been undisturbed...I finished with it about 40 minutes before I posted these pics...and I feel a HUGE relief... you have no clue... LOL
Beautiful job!
Dusty, fantastic job. I do love that pond and hope to be where we can have one like that someday. Right now that would take up my entire front yard....
It is really beautiful.....my back hurts just thinking about all of the work you guys have put in on it. Now relax and enjoy it for a bit.
Very nice.. a lot of work in only three months.. I am glad you still have the summer to enjoy it! . I like the bridge and walkway... a nice look.

Thank you all for the kind words....It only took 3 months because it was not a complete build...just repairs, except for the waterfall, and that was a rebuild...
Incredible!

Nice job, Sis....I know you're glad to have that job finished. I'll pop over to see it as soon as I recover from all my company!!!
Very beautiful completion of repairs! You know, this whole ponding thing is a ridiculous, completely addictive, often fraught with despair, tons of neverending work, sometimes heartbreaking, often so amazing hobby, what the heck????!!!! I had determined after our recent move that I would have no more fish and just fill the pond with bog plants... well, now I am attached as ever to my 5 baby fish...
Anywhoooo, your pond looks beautiful!

Very nice Dusty! I have to ask who mows all the lawn in the background? It is like a park.
