If wishes were horses ..or growing out bogus E-Bay brugs

Brooklyn, NY(Zone 7b)

or going stir crazy awaiting the rest of the flowers... [ humoreously ]
well... things are developing.. the daily rains make it difficult to get in with the food.. addatives.. hormones.. and the other spurs to blooming and development.. not to mention the lack of strong sun during these times has put everything weeks behind.. I'm terribly anxious to get these blooms going.. I've so many from the great breeders.. some of my own.. and others secured on E-Bay.. Now ....one of the worst offenders there on E-bay.. 7 Servant something or other..posting bogus or lifted pictures.. to promote flowers.. or seeds of other than delivered goods.. but they aren't alone in this.. now I'm not talking about honest mistaked by sellers.. there on from their sites.... which when notified will make good with the offered goods..
pictured is a double salmon brug offered.. and it's much too dark.. and it didn't descend as much as the pictures..

It looks like they took a petunia and stuck it inside the bloom. LOL.

Holy Hawk

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

It is a truly pretty flower nonetheless. Although it does look like the trumpet is trying to "hawk" up the center....maybe you could call it Brugmansia 'Hawkus'....sorry, I just couldn't resist.

Lodi, CA(Zone 9b)

That is just toooo funny!

skylon,
I fell for his pitch as well about 1-1/2 yrs ago. The cuttings didn't grow much last summer because of the extreme heat and lack of humidity last year so I've seen only one bloom so far. It appears to be what it was supposed to be, but I have no idea what the rest will look like. I may or may not see any blooms before winter. The grasshoppers have been eating just about everything.

OH..Veronica...yes... it seems you are over run with them this year.. I was amazed to hear the rain was killing a fungus that usually keeps them more in check.. and they were now running wild there... and to get your Bio Dome.. so ravaged... with Volker's Lovlies inside... Ouch
I wasn't poking fun at the buyers.. just the thought that some of the amazing offerings... might come true.. I'm sure I've Won [?] some of his offerings awhile ago.. but I'm the perfect target..as I've little idea as to what is comming or going here ..as there's such a river of them..
Well... Thanks All...
