It's gorgeous, and one I'd truly enjoy growing, but I can't find a plant or cuttings available anywhere. Does anyone know where I could find it? I'd be happy to buy or trade for it.
Thanks so much!
Where could I get Hoya australis 'Lisa' plant or cuttings?
Amy, Isn't H. australis 'Lisa' an amazingly beautiful Hoya? If you find a source, please let me know, it's one that I've had on the wish list since seeing a photo last year at Myhoyas website !
It really is one of the most gorgeous ones I've ever seen, Lin! I love it! I discovered pictures of it last year, but the seller didn't have any more, and I couldn't find it anywhere else. Now that I've remembered it again, I still can't find it! LOL I'll definitely let you know if I find a source. Or, if I'm lucky enough to get a plant or cuttings, I'll start one for you. ^_^
Amy, you are such a sweetie! If I should ever find that one somewhere I will let you know too and get one for both of us! I'm surprised it isn't readily available, I'd think everyone would be jumping for that beauty! Maybe it's not an easy grower? I think I've read that it's slow growing. I'd treasure that one just for that gorgeous foliage!
Well, phooey! Thank you for the information, Christine! It may be next to impossible to grow, but I'd sure like the chance. LOL Maybe one day...
LOL Well, ya know, third time's the charm! ^_^
It sure is...I just looked over my lists, it seems I have tried a third time and won on several occasions. But I didn't have to order them from Holland. I think I'm just going to sit on the fence for a bit I think - variegated hoyas in general and me just don't seem to get along. I have two that are just so incredibly pathetic looking and one thats looking really good, and putting out new growth to its stubby little cutting, but hasn't grown an iota in nearly 2 years. That fence of mine sure is wide ...

An australis "Lisa" was just posted on ebay last night! It's a beautiful hoya - I got a cutting last year. It hasn't grown very fast, but it's beautiful none the less! I have mine growing in hydroton.
