eBUCKETs - Need a ONE BUCKET Construction Design

SE Houston (Hobby), TX(Zone 9a)

I've been collecting 5-gallon buckets for a mass production of eBuckets this weekend. To date, all my eBuckets have used two buckets each. However, somewhere, someone on DG is doing a one-bucket design using a PLATE? as the divider for the soil bed and reservoir. Could I please get some more specific feedback on this design? Using only one bucket would certainly stretch my available inventory!

Thanks!

i can see where this could be done. you would need a sturdy plastic for it, and be able to create the wick chamber. and you are also cutting out the amount of grow room

Hey ya'll. I've cut out 16 pegboard "cookies" for a one-bucket design. Only problem is waterProofing them 2 go inside the eBuckets. I need some help here! I've got a gallon of Kilz someone recommended would leave a plastic coating if I dip each one. Have also considered dipping in parafin to waterproof. LMK ASAP! Thanks! The "cookie" separates the soil bed from the reservoir in an eBucket. Linda
